My wife and I have had Progressive Auto Insurance for 10 years. We have never had a claim or a moving violation. (In the 10 years, we've probably only gotten 3 parking tickets). A year ago, I was cited for "following too closely" on Interstate 95. I got in the left lane to pass, and the car in front of me slowed down because he saw the cop.
Now - 11 month later - we got our policy renewal, and the rates have been jacked up 33%!!!!! I can only imagine if we had had a claim, they probably would have doubled or tripled the price. Stay away from this company. We gave them our money for 10 years, never got a penny back through claims, and this is what we get in return. Very unscrupulous bunch. Now they will probably turn around and sell our personal information to some marketeers for spite

I don't why still people are buying insurance policy from this company. I too have read so many complaints and negative reviews that I always suggest everyone not to make out any sort of insurance policy from progressive. Thanks for sharing your experience.
